What will I learn at The Neptune Academy?

The core topics for The Neptune Academy are the foundations of leadership and international security and conflict analysis. These courses are a balance of theoretical teaching and practical exercises. And depending on the region, special guest instructors will join The Neptune Academy on topics that are relevant to that particular region.

Matt’s specialities are foundations of leadership. This includes the various leadership styles and theories that have been developed since the 1960s. The strength of his class is leading the group on how to grow and sustain a successful culture in their organizations and also personal lives.  Matt mixes in the theories and he teaches them in a practical setting. His courses include small leadership simulations and conclude with a Leadership Vision and Crisis Simulation  training the participants on developing their vision while also dealing with various crises that could arise. Matt also has experience teaching public speaking, improvisation, modern day geopolitics, and world religions/cultures.

Ibrahim’s specialties include international security, the role of history and conflict, conflict analysis and management. Ibrahim has a unique way of presenting modern conflicts from a historical yet non-traditional manner. He stresses more on the impact the war has on the general public psychologically. Ibrahim’s classes also include global warming, impact of AI on politics, storytelling, and resource depletion. Ibrahim also incorporates smaller simulations and concludes with a larger simulation for each Academy.

Secondary topics of The Neptune Academy will cover topics that are vital to the region. These topics could include economic reform practices from actual reformers, democratic reformers, civil society leaders, journalists, politicians, historians, lawyers, etc. The Neptune Academy has a network of these kinds of experts ready to make your experience that much more impactful.
